Up for sale is a very unique 1987 Porsche Wide Body 930 built by a special person for a special person! This Porsche was built to decimate all others! This is a great opportunity for a true collector to acquire this special car. Please check out the HD Video to see the car in action and the 160+ detailed pictures of the build.
History: Clay Dopke in the 80's was known for building outrageous Porsches thru his company called Bavarian Coach Werkes which was a Division of Porschemeister Inc. Clay Dopke was also known for building the "Bannana Slugger" which was a street version of the 935 k3 Porsche making 785hp and went over 200+mph. Back then it was very prestigious to be doing those kind of numbers in the 80's. Clay Dopke use to race in the 70's and 80's IMSA cars. He also raced Porsche Club of America events. He was known to build Porsches faster then Ruf division did. People would come from all over and have him build their Porsche 930s making ridiculous amount of power and the cost wasn't cheap either for back then. Has a clean Carfax! It's been in Miami pretty much its entire life.
Build: This Porsche 930 was fully built by Clay Dopke, and is extremely fast! It has about 500hp right now, if you put race gas and tune it, it could reach 600hp. They had what was called the "dial of death" which was the boost control wheel knob that was installed inside the car, and you would turn up the boost when you wanted to. The engine was fully built it received a Dopke/BCW motor with bigger pistons making the displacement to a wooping 3.6. The fuel system was also upgraded with higher flow injectors and CIS fuel injection system. New heads were also put on with twin plugs, meaning 2 spark plugs for every cylinder!! Dopke also did all the fabrication in house for the turbo kit which included performance wastgate and dump tube, Blow off valve and etc...For the turbo cooling it was BCW Intercooler special design. H pattern factory transmission, however it received upgraded clutch to hold that kind of power, and even had the front bigger Porsche calipers upgraded, and drilled rotors all around. Also other mods were put in place such as front strut bar, bilstein shocks etc..
It's a special wide body Porsche with the DP rear wing style deck lid. Wider fenders, rear wheel side fins for better cooling, wide body lower rockers & bumpers. The rear wheels are 345/35/15 making the tires super wide measuring a width of 13.6 inches on each side. T
his 930 is really nice! It did have one repaint that I know of. It has a splendid shine all around and is ready to put in your Porsche collection or drive it to the shows! It sits on its genuine gold BBS wheels! The interior has also been slightly elegantly upgraded roll cage, seatbelt harnesses, custom seats, Momo Suede steering wheel, and more.
This car is one of a kind and to me more special then a Ruf Porsche.
I'm located in Miami about 30 minutes away from the airport. Feel free to come see the car in person. Clean FL title. Non-refundable 0 deposit. Sold as is where is. Any inquires email me, like any classic cars does have its minor imperfections and regular wear and tear. The odometer shows 32,224 but since I'm not the first owner I don't guarantee that stuff. One thing on the car is the AC belt is off and i believe they did that for power reasons. I didn't want to mess with the build of the car so I left it the way I got it and enjoyed it. I did do quite a bit of maintenance on it and took it to Smit Autowerks. Thanks for looking. Contact me at 305-542-5662. For shipping its buyers responsibility to pickup vehicle once its sold.
If you're looking to finance I would recommend JJ Best. They finance your classic car or hot rod and are very pleasant to work with.
