Listed here is a small collection of objects collected in Africa over 30-40 years ago.
5 objects are included in this lot:
Carved wooden fon or fetish adorns in fishbone beads 8.5"
White beaded loin cloth (per family lore) 7.5" x4"
Small drum 4.5" tall 3.25" in diameter.
Folding knife with figural handle, 10" when open with beaded leather sheath 7"x2" when folded.
Some of these items have been previously displayed. Fetish and drum are in very good condition. There may be some bead loss on loin cloth or openings may be part of the design. I see chips on edge of knife blade. Leather on sheath shows evidence of wear and use. It is very stiff, maybe by design.
Items were located by family when downsizing. This item and other African folk art items we will be listing were obtained 30-40 years ago on father's trip to Africa.
