    Description

Exceptionally well-preserved early 20th century shield (also known as 'tlokwo'), from the North Cameroon area (ethnic cluster of the so-called 'Kirdi', i.e., non-Muslim peoples, like the  Zulgo, Mafa, Fali, Massa, etc.).
    Size: c. 60 cm. width; c. 97 cm. height.
Made of cattle leather, entirely intact, very strong, no ugly cuts or tears, with a handgrip on the inside
(The white rope can be removed; it's how I hanged it on the wall).
Could be sent by mail as a registered package.
