    Description
    An antique forged-iron knife from the Kuba people of the Congo , 18 1/4" long, with a blade 13 5/8" long and 3 1.2" wide at its widest. The hardwood hilt is simply and crudely carved in a traditional pattern. Its condition reflects its age and long use. The blade is not rusty, but shallowly rust-pitted and darkened. The hilt has a chunk missing at the bottom of one side. Probably first half of the 20th century.
