PAIR OF AFRICAN CARVED FIGURES OF A KING AND QUEEN

Description

Very rare and beautiful pair of antique or an old vintage camel bone carved figurines of a King and Queen.
Both riding a donkeys and holding ceremonial items.
They came from the Northern border of Benin and Nigeria.
This is an unusual pair of carvings which used as a gifts to a King and Queen.
When King is mentioned, it's not the King of the country, but rather King of the particular tribe with one or a group of villages.
Excellent quality and in a very good condition.
Size: 5 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" long x 1 1/2" wide (King)
