    More Details
This is a super multi camera input switcher used for worship video production, We have upgraded our production system to the Roland V-8HD. This switcher works perfectly. We had a problem with the BNC connectors becoming intermittent after frequent reconnections. Roland was no help with these poorly designed connectors with only two center pin leaves compared to standard ones with four (see Picture).  We solved the problem with an insulation tube to keep the leaves of the center pin of the BNC connectors back together and back into the correct position. We also added an adapter to eliminate the possibility of reconnecting the BNC connector problem They should be left in position permanently and will not affect the use and functionality of the switcher. This switcher is best used in a permanent position where long video cables are required. HDMI cables have 25-foot limits to maintain high definition. SDI cables can cover up to 300-feet. Blackmagic makes the best HDMI to SDI converters. I recommend more versatile bi-directional units.
